Day Camp at Maple Tree sounds awesome! What should I tell my parents?
You must be at least 4 months old, spayed or neutered (if over 6 months). You must also be in good health, flea/tick-free, friendly to all dogs, and generally love to play.
What time can I be dropped off and picked up?
In order to benefit from the full Camp experience and allow dogs to learn thier routine, we ask that you drop-off between 7:00 am and 8:30 am. Pick-up time between 4:30 - 6:30 pm.
1/2 day Campers should be picked up or dropped off betwen 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm. No day campers on weekends
Overnight Campers have more flexability! 7:00 am - 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm Monday - Friday, Saturday 7am-11am
Camp closes from 12:30 - 2:30 Monday - Friday
What will I do while I'm at camp?
While at camp, you will have an all-access pass. Whether you enjoy playing with your new friends in our fenced area outside or chill on a bed in the shade inside- you're free to do as you like while being supervised by our Camp Counselors. You can even cool off in one of our puppy pools! 100% satisfaction guaranteed!
How many friends will I make?
That's up to you! We accept a maximum of 30 dogs at a time so if you're lucky, you might make 29 new friends!
Can I get a pedicure at camp?
No, dogs don't get their nails painted silly! But we will give your nails a trim if your parents request it.
Why do I need a meet & greet before I can come to camp?
Prior to each dog being accepted as a camper, we arrange an hour Meet & Greet (temperament test) with you and your parents to assess your suitability for the camp environment. This process will start with meeting just one other camper at first. Once we are confident with your reaction to our first dog, we will then introduce you to a second dog and progressivly introduce you to a group of other campers. If all goes well in the interview process, you're welcome to camp anytime!
What do I wear to camp?
A quick-release collar with your name and phone number on your ID tag.
Can my mommy and daddy check in on me?
Absolutely! They can email us or call our office anytime. They can even watch you play if they like.
Can I take a nap at camp?
Yes, you're welcome to snooze wherever and whenever you'd like.
Will I be fed at day camp?
No, you should eat 1.5 hours before arrival to camp so that your tummy has time to digest and you can play safely once you arrive to camp. Bloat can be caused by playing too soon after eating and can be harmful for you. Please ask your parents to let us know if you have eaten less than 1.5 hours upon arrival for your safety.
I'm a bit mischievous, will I be able to get into trouble or will I always be supervised?
As a day camper you will be with our staff from the moment you get here to the moment you go to leave. If you are camping overnight you will have private cabin to hang out by yourself.
What if I get sick or injured?
Not to worry! The Camp Doctor is right next door! While our camp counselors do all we can to keep you safe at camp, accidents can occur. Efforts will always be made to contact your parents for our chosen course of action.
If I need medication, who will give it to me?
We administer medication that has been provided by your parents in pill, powder, or liquid form, for no additional fee. All medications must be in the original container. Medicine that must be injected will cost an additional fee.
How far in advance should I make a reservation?
It is best to make a reservation well in advance of your stay. Our camp fills up quite quickly so early booking is highly recommended!
I'm a senior. What if I can't keep up with my younger roommates?
Our Camp Counselors keep a careful watch to ensure the well being and safety of all the Campers.
What if I'm being bullied by another camper?
We have a zero tolerance policy and our Camp Counselors are well trained in the prevention of dog fights.
Can I bring my favorite toys or blanky?
If you are an overnight camper then yes, you should bring your favorite items. Day campers will be provided ample toys to keep them busy throughout the day, so we recommend that you leave your personal items at home so they don't get torn up by your new friends.
